We are requesting approval to modify the original site plan in two areas: removal of a required fence along the parking lot border, and replacement of an adjacent landscaped area with concrete. Fence Removal: The original site plan required a fence to be installed along the parking lot border. Over the years, this fence has been repeatedly damaged by vehicles and has required constant repair. Its proximity to the customer drive-thru area has also created significant complications for snow removal operations. Due to these ongoing maintenance and safety concerns, we are requesting permission to remove the fence permanently. Landscaping Replacement: The parking lot slopes from the north end to the south end, creating a grade difference between the parking surface and the adjacent landscaped area located between the parking lot and the public sidewalk. This elevation change causes landscaping rock to spill onto the sidewalk and lawn areas, creating a maintenance issue and a potential tripping hazard for pedestrians. To resolve this, we are requesting permission to remove the existing landscaping and rock and replace the area with a concrete surface that will transition the grade from the high point of the parking lot down to the sidewalk level. |

The Recovery Community Alliance is organizing a service connection event between ND and MN called "bridging the barriers." The event will be held at the parking lot / lawn area on eitehr side of the NP/Center Ave Bridges. All necessary permissions will be received for the use of privately and/or publicly owned space. We do not anticipate having to close the bridget; however, we will contract for any necessary safety services (i.e., traffic or security) required. |
